God Shines His Light

God Shines His Light

For the last 2 weeks I have been listening to a song by Van Morrison called Whenever God Shines His Light. I can’t get this song out of my mind. I play it several times a day and let my spirit soak in it. God is singing the words of the song to all of you.

He loves you. He loves you no matter what. No matter what you have done. No matter where you are at in your life. No matter what you are struggling with. No matter what anyone is telling you. He loves you. His grace covers you. Yes, grace is unmerited favor but that’s the point. It’s a gift{ something given out of love} from our Father. Our Father is love and He is grace. His mission is to make sure that every moment of every day you will know His love and His grace. No matter what His love and His grace covers you. He waits for you; He will always wait for you. No matter what.

The words to the song go something like this:

Whenever God shined a light on me….
Opened up my eyes so I could see.
When I look up in the darkest night then I know everythings gonna be all right.
In deep confusion, in great despair….
when I reach out for Him, He is there.
When I am lonely as I can be then I know that God shines His light on me.
Reach out for Him, reach out for Him and He’ll be there.
Within your troubles you can share. You can use His higher power.
You’ll get the blessing from above.
He lifts you up and He turns you around.
And he puts your feet back on higher ground.
Reach out for Him and He’ll be there.
When God shines His light on you.

My dear sisters and brothers the words to the song are true. He is shining His light on you now. No matter what He loves you. His grace covers you. He will put your feet back
on higher ground. Reach out for Him. He’s there.

He Tested Me and...

He Tested Me and…..

“I failed.” No, you didn’t fail. The word fail tells you that something is over. It says there isn’t a way back. God always gives you a way back. When you sin, when you are
disobedient , when you began to wander away there’s a way back. God tells us to repent, ask for forgiveness, and come to Him. Don’t waste any time, run to Him. God is the truth and the way: the way back.

Our Father gives us another chance to get it right. He will never give up on you. His word says He will never forsake you. Jesus came to this earth to save you and to heal you. He is here now-in you. He loves you, He directs you and He heals you. Let Him.

He’s telling me that there are some of you who are raggedy and beaten up, who are wandering away from Him. Turn away from the world and come back to Him. Jesus died for us because he knew we would sin. He knew the hurt and pain you would experience in this life. He gave His life for you . His arms are open for your return and he’s telling you that: “You are enough, more then enough.” My dear brothers and sisters run!

I was tested and…..

“I ran to My Father.”

His Loving Arms

His Loving Arms

His loving arms were around you this morning when you woke up.

His loving arms were around you:

When you were tired and didn’t want to face the day.

When you felt the other driver was an idiot.

When you laughed.

When it seemed that no one cared.

When you felt fat.

When you just knew that everything would be all right.

When she didn’t call you back.

When you were eating lunch alone and wanted to share it someone.

When you weren’t sure how to make amends with your spouse.

When you didn’t know if you wanted to apologize.

When you met a friend for dinner.

When you wondered if God still remembered the desires of you heart.

His loving arms are around you period.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Come Home To Me

COME HOME TO ME

In July 2007, I went on a three day prayer retreat . I traveled with two of my friends who wanted to rest in the Lord and of course talk, laugh and eat. We went to the island of Lanai and stayed at the Koele Lodge. My friends had previously visited the island and stayed at the Lodge. For me, it was the first time. Before the trip, God interrupted my thoughts several times and told me that on the trip I would be coming home. I didn’t know what that meant. Upon my arrival at the Lodge I thought maybe He meant the trees, mountains and cool freshness of the place. My dream would be to have a home in the mountains with lots of trees. Some how though I instinctively knew that He meant something else.

The first afternoon at the Lodge we decided to go on our own and find a quiet place to be with God. My friends quickly found their places. I couldn’t settle anywhere. That in it self perturbed me. Here I was in a beautiful , dream of a place and I couldn’t find that spot to curl up. I finally went back to my room and sat on the window seat. I began to write and asked Him what He had meant regarding me “coming home.” He didn’t answer me. So I praised Him and thanked Him. And, as I started to read scripture, He said: “You came home.” Instantly, I knew what He meant. I hadn’t been reading the Bible and praying as much as I should . How sad and dumb is that. I had drifted away from Him without fully realizing I had done so. I became busy with other activities and some of them were His work. However, to live this life I need my relationship with Him. A relationship where I sit in the quiet with Him, read his word and hear His voice everyday. I repented and asked for forgiveness. The next three days with Him were rich with peace because I spent time with Him. I was rested and my life was ever so full. I had come home to my Father’s House.

In John , Jesus spent a lot of time teaching his disciples before His death and resurrection. Since we know that Jesus came with limited time and great purpose, teaching must be important. He wants to teach us and He calls to us as His disciples, to teach us so we can come to His likeness and minister to others. How will we be taught if we don’t spend time in the His word and praying? It simply follows: the more time spent with God the more we will learn from Him.

Look at John 14:23

“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make our home with him.” Do you want to live in His promise?

Jesus says, “I am the bread of life; I am the light of the world; I am the gate; I am the good shepherd; I am the resurrection and the life; I am the way and the truth and the life; and I am the true vine.” I don’t think it gets any better then this: “To be with and learn from the One who is all those things: the One who preexisted and the One with eternal deity.” Why would we chose not to spend time with Him?

My dear brothers and sisters Come Home To Him.

Dear Father,
I stand before you today and tell you that I want to “Come Home.” I want to keep Your word and have the life that You intended for me and my family. I know that You are sitting in my living room everyday waiting to spend time with me. I don’t want to walk past You anymore. I lay down the distractions of my life and choose You. Make your home with me. Amen

Alert and Pray

Know that you will be tempted. Know that you have stuff--areas of our life where you will fall into sin. Know that you have to look for the areas of your life where God wants to grow you. To know all those things you have to be alert and watch for the schemes of the devil to tempt you, to entice you to fall into sin and to stunt your growth. You have to daily pray and desperately seek God to give you the strength to resist temptation, to keep you from sin and to grow you.

They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” He took Peter , James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. “My soul is over whelmed with sorrow to the point of death,“ he said to them. “ Stay here and keep watch.”
Going a little further, He fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from Him. “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but
what you will.”
Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”
Once more He went away and prayed the same thing. When He came back, He again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. They did not know what to say to Him.
Returning the third time, he said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The hour has come.
Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”
Mark 14:32-42

Jesus asked something simple--watch and pray. He asked three times because His disciples fell asleep three times. In the end even they didn’t have an excuse for their behavior. In the end it was the very hour that Jesus needed them to pray for Him. The very hour is here. Don’t fall asleep. There is no excuse.

Jesus said, “the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” We can’t afford to be weak. We are in the middle of battle with the enemy. Satan’s schemes will change in the battle. Your job is to be alert and pray. Alert means to be watchful and ready. Pray means to implore or beseech--desperately seek God.

In Ephesians it says…Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible this is why it is said.

Wake up, O sleeper
Rise from the dead,
And Christ will shine on you.

Our Heavenly Father is light. Wake up and stay awake and be filled with light---filled with the Holy Spirit.

Dear Father give me a hunger to stay awake. If there are areas in my life where I am sleeping wake me up. Surround me with friends who are awake. I don’t want to miss the very hour. Fill me with light and use me to give that light away. In Your precious name I pray. Amen

Ground Breaking

In the last few months I’ve had moments where I sensed the ground breaking. I am not saying that it is physically breaking and moving but an actual sense that God is moving the ground, the earth. The sense of this is stronger over the last few weeks. He is telling me that the ground breaking is about change. Actually He has been saying for the last year that big changes were going to take place. The emphasis of this message is that it is now. Doing things differently and doing things that have not been done before. One of those things is a shifting of money and businesses to Christians who are going to help His people. I believe we are to expect the extra ordinary. To see dreams come true. To hear over and over again that prayers are being answered. To see people healed . To see people restored to wholeness and moving in their God given passions.

As He breaks up the ground you may not understand what is happening or how the huge , unattainable situation in front of you can possibly come together. Our job is to stay focused on God and believe His word. Peter walked on water and he was the only disciple that walked on water. He begin to sink into the sea when he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the impossible situation beneath him. So fix your eyes on God and not on the situation. Not By Sight.

Three days ago when God again interrupted my thinking about ground breaking He reminded me of a teaching Carl, my husband, had given about 8 years ago. What I could remember about the teaching was
something Carl said about the Holy Spirit hovering. And then God brought me to the scripture in Genesis that Carl had referenced when he taught. My dear brothers and sisters thinking about and remembering something that Carl taught 8 years ago is not me remembering. This was God having me remember so that I was clear that it was Him and also to emphasize the importance of delivering His message.

Genesis 1:1-2

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”

I believe what God is saying is that He is and will be making new beginnings . You can read this and say that He does that all the time so that’s nothing new. However, you will see this at a faster rate. There are people and places on this earth that are empty and dark. God’s desire has always been to fill those people and places with His light. For those who are willing to look at themselves and come out of darkness and into the light the blessings are waiting. For those who are not willing to be filled with His light God is going to expose their corruptness and lies. So it’s imperative that we all look at ourselves and look at how we are living our lives.

Our job is keeping our eyes on Our Father. Read and study the Bible, pray and fast .

Dear Father,
We come to you as your children and we want to be a part of the ground breaking. Show us and direct us as to the steps you want us to take. Help us step out boldly and know that it is ok if we are uncomfortable, especially when we are standing on new ground. Father, help us look at the lies we believe, what we need to repent of and who we need to forgive. Remove the obstacles in our path. Help us see and believe that You are standing by our side hovering over us directing and guiding us into the people that you created us to be. Lord we believe that we will see signs, wonders and miracles. Amen

Not By Sight

My friend Kazuko is in Japan to visit family and advance God’s kingdom. They enemy is well aware of her presence because she is and is going to be instrumental in telling people about God, spreading the Gospel healing and restoring His people. She emailed me that she was being attacked from people she knows and people she doesn’t know. I knew that she will be fine even though she said that this was a bigger and greater attack then other trips. My job as with the rest of her friends is to pray for her.

God is always there for us and in times like this we cannot lean on or depend on what we see. If we do we will be caught up in the whirl wind and be thrown all over the place. Focus and depend on God and his promises. He promised us the Holy Spirit who will comfort us and direct us. He said that the gates of Hades will not overcome …

Mt.16:18
Jesus said,” And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

He told us that we have the power and authority to break the gates of Hades down.

Mt. 16:19
Jesus continues…”I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven , and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

I’m going to hold onto those promises and focus on Him and prayer through the attacks and believe that Our Father in Heaven prevails. Yes, I know that this is hard especially when the circumstances seem ever so bad. But I also know that He will do what He says He will do.

As I was praying for Kazuko God gave me the following scriptures for her. I sent those scriptures to Kazuko and now He wants me to give it to all of you.

Daniel 3:19-20
Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.”

So they are thrown into the furnace and no harm comes to them. Now Nebuchadnezzar is truly alarmed and he asks his advisers to confirm that they were indeed thrown into the furnace. They concur. Then as he looks into the furnace he sees …..

Daniel 3: 25
“ Look I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

People and things will try to harm us and sometimes those attacks will be seven times hotter. Like Daniel our job is to focus on God and believe Him. So read the above scriptures one more time and know your Father is talking to you.

Father God help me to focus on you even when the circumstances are at there worst. Do not let me depend on my sight but on You. Help me believe your promises when the furnace is seven times hotter. Do not let any harm come to me or my family. I believe you will take care of me and protect me. Increase my faith ten fold. Amen

A Safe or Private Place

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I want to tell you what In His House is before I share other things with you.

It is a place of healing. My friend and business partner Kazuko have a passion given to us by our Father --the healing of His people.

Is In His House an actual physical dwelling? The answer is yes. At this time we use Kazuko's home to have monthly one and two day retreats for spirtual renewal, emotional and physical healing. When we talk about healing we mean inner healing, prayer counseling, laying of hands and deliverance. Of course, the monthly retreats are not the only place where healing takes place. Like our sisters and brothers in Christ we minister to people where ever there is a need.

In His House exists to give glory to God, advance his kingdom and restore the reality and power of God's presence among His people.

John 10:10 tells us that the theif comes only to steal and kill and destroy. And Jesus came that we may have life and have it to the full.

Let us all figure out what the thief is stealing and how he is killing and destroying us. Then and only then will we live the full life that God intends for us. You can't figure this out alone. First and foremost God will help you--He is the Healer. You also need others. And we all need to pray, read and study God's Word, and fast(fast something).

in our Father's name,
Memrey

In His House Retreat.

At an In His House retreat last week God gave the words trust, strength and release. Even though in my own strength and control i could have defined these words for the participants I knew better to wait on God to do that. I waited on Him as patiently as is possible for an impatient person. He never disappoints. And I do mean never. So when it comes to God be patient as it is our faith and His timing.

So back to trust, strength and release by our beloved author Christ Jesus. These words aren't just for the retreat participants they are for all of us.

The first scripture God gave ....

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the steam. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

He wants our trust to be in Him not in people and not in what we see. Do we trust Him completely ? If you trust Him 80-90% that's good according to the world's definition but trust is about 100% when it comes to God. We have to truely ask ourselves how much we trust him? Our pains and hurts have affected our trust and you serve a God who wants you healed.

The second scripture:

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlastingGod, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fanthom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope(wait) in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. isaiah 40:28-31

He always hears us so wait on Him and Him only. He will fill you up and renew and restore you.
If you're running on empty we are either doing it in our own strength and or need to set some boundaries.

The third scripture...

For this is what the Lord says:

"I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees. As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. Isaiah 66: 12-13

He wants us to be at peace and he will guide you to that peace as you trust Him and live in His strength. And it is in that peace that you will be restored and released to live life fully for yourself and others.

How forunate we are to be Christians and walk toward a living God. We simply have to walk toward Him and believe that when our legs give out He will carry us.

Our Priorities

to my sisters and brothers,

I believe we are living in the times of distraction . There are so many things to keep us busy-incredibly busy. I personally marvel at my friends who seem to have time. Or maybe they just prioritize better. I want to have time to do those things that God wants me to do and the time to do the rest. We all need to desire to do those things God wants us to do and for me it is to write. Not something I would choose for myself. I don't see myself as a writer. But really what does that have to do with it since what I do know is my Father told me to do it. So when my friend Keiger set this up for me I was excited and delighted. That my dear sisters and brothers was November 2007. Not good. Of course, I rationalize that I have gotten other things done that God has asked me to do. Now thats good. From November until today God has interrupted my thoughts with numerous words and messages that He wants shared not with a few people but with many. I have to get my priorities straight not just for a few days but for always. Our very lst priority is reading and studying God's word and praying and fasting(fasting something).
It's important that we are alert to Satan directing and distracting us and to the choices we make.

God help us all to do the things you are asking us to do for our own good and for the good of others. I know Father when we put you first all else and more gets done. Give us all the desire to know you and want you more than anything or anybody else.

The start of my blog

Thank you God for Keiger coming today and setting up my blog. I know you told me to have this site and I didn't know how to set it up. Keiger made it so easy for me. I thank you for him and the friend that he is- Bless him mightily.
